2023-2024 International Council .

  • International President

I have been a member of SPG for 34 years. It has been such an awarding experience. It is so much fun to think of new ways to raise money in your own community to give back to that same community. My chapter is very active with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Once every other month, we go to the workshop and help make beds for kids who don’t have one. It gives you the best feeling knowing you’re making a difference. That’s what it’s all about, making a difference somewhere in your community, large or small. The extra bonus is you will have more Sisters than you ever thought possible. Come and join us, it will change your life.

  • International Vice President

Hello, all! I’m Chris and I am Sigma Phi Gamma’s International Vice President. I have been in SPG for 24 years and have made so many wonderful friends who are my Sisters! SPG has a heart for giving, and each year I am more amazed at the ways we serve others. SPG’s influence is felt in the local community, statewide and on the national scene. Service was one reason I joined Sorority. I’ve helped paint a house for Habitat for Humanity, held yard sales for Relay for Life, and served breakfast for charity- to name a few!

Tidbits to know- I have one daughter and son-in-law, two beautiful granddaughters, and one very demanding Pekinese named Missy. I love to travel- which I do a lot with Sorority, kayak, read, and work on my house that I bought two years ago. Life is good, and I know this year is going to be outstanding in Sigma Phi Gamma!

  • International Organizer

A little about your International Organizer Colleen: I just celebrated my 50th birthday (for some reason no one believes me in that) and have been married for half of that time. I love to meet new people and due to being always “new girl” from moving a lot in my youth, I can always understand the need to belong!

I have an adult daughter and a number of fur and scale babies in my house. I love to read, specially mysteries. I watch a lot of movies, though I love scary movies the best. We also love Halloween at our house!

I tend to have a lot of energy, I have a background in theatre so I usually blame that!

I have an eclectic taste in music that ranges from Big Band to current and everything in between. I tend to sing in the car, a lot, so if you are driving with me, be prepared for a serenade.

  • International Service Secretary

My name is Mary Freeman. I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and I am a lifelong Hoosier! I have been a member of Sigma Phi Gamma since 2014. I was an accountant for a private construction company until 2019 when I retired. I have loved being in Sigma Phi Gamma for the lifelong friendships and the sisterhood I have found. I love spending time with my family and friends.

  • International Editor

Hi, I am Susan Nell and I have been a member of SPG for 43 years. My Mother, Janet Eley, was a Charter Member of Kappa Eta in Lima, Ohio . I literally grew up with SPG. I have served on both the Tau and Gamma Province Councils and am presently Gamma Province President. I am Girl Responsible for Omicron Zeta Chapter in Westerville, Ohio. My two daughters, Amanda Meffley and Michelle Meffley are members of Omicron Zeta. I have been married to Dave for 30 years and we have a blended family of three sons and two daughters. We share five grandchildren with another granddaughter on the way! I find SPG to be a wonderful opportunity to meet Sisters and maintain lifetime friendships all while serving communities. Through SPG, I have made friendships that are loving and lasting!

  • International Historian

Hi, I’m Alex, the current International Historian. I joined Xi Phi Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma in 2014. When I joined, I fell in love with this wonderful organization. It has given me a great opportunity to meet new friends that I now call sisters, to serve my community, and to see personal growth through holding Chapter and Province offices, and now an International office. I am so proud to be a part of an organization that is founded on friendship and service. We give generously to our communities, states, and the world at large!

  • International Counselor

Hi to all of you! I am Beth Beckham, your current International Counselor. My time on the SPG Council has been a rewarding and challenging time. I enjoyed learning about the leadership of SPG and meeting many of my sisters across the country and into Canada. Being an SPG member has allowed me to meet lots of women who are like minded and who I enjoy being around. We have such a great time when we are together! Service is a cornerstone of SPG and we do it well. Whether in our communities or on a more local level, SPG is dedicated to serving those in need.

I have been involved with SPG since being initiated into my mother's Chapter in 1988 in Ohio. Then I moved to Florida and was involved in the beginnings of 2 chapters there. I am currently a member of Xi Theta Chapter in Port Charlotte, FL. I am excited to see what the future holds for me and SPG, who knows where you will find me next!

I hope that you will consider joining us, you won't regret that decision!
